Seven years ago, Professor W. Michael Reisman of Yale Law School—my mentor—visited the School of Law, City University of Hong Kong. Out of his love for students and to support the School of Law, Professor Reisman agreed to co-teach with me a course on Selected Problems of International Investment Law. What an honor for me and what an opportunity for the students! Professor Reisman adopted the syllabus that he used in the Yale Law School as well as the teaching method he employed there—examination of arbitral awards by students. As Professor Reisman was unable to teach in person on a weekly basis in Hong Kong, part of the course was taught via video link facilities, which was a novel experience for all of us. This co-taught course was offered for six years in a row and was a complete success every time.
