This is a monumentally important book that I thought could not be written.
I have known Pam Steiner for many years. Dr Steiner is an accomplished
trauma psychologist. She has also over the years become an authority on
Turkish-Armenian history and its group pathologies resulting from murder and
genocide dating back over a century. She is also deeply steeped in issues relating to
the divisions that plague Israel-Palestine. A key factor in these entrenched crises is
how perceived threats to land and concepts of a homeland culture of religion and
language sustain denials regarding what may have gone wrong in the past and resistance
to suggestions about what might be done in the present.
