This volume, New Developments in Competition Law and Economics, is the result of the 7th Law and Economics Conference held at the University of Lucerne on 13 and 14 April 2018. The conference was organized in partnership with Notre Dame Law School and the Notre Dame Program on Law and Market Behavior (ND LAMB). The main focus of the conference was on European legal questions as presented by European legal scholars. They were complemented by insights from distinguished scholars from the USA in order to foster the dialogue between the two different legal cultures. The thematic scope of this volume spans both the theoretical and practical developments of competition law. We take this opportunity to thank all those who have contributed to the organization of the conference and to the successful completion of this volume.
